Airline Employees Perceptions of Aviation Safety
Hi, the purpose of my thesis was to determine whether or not Gender and/or Age have any effect on the participants’ responses regarding Aviation safety and Safety Management System.
The Discussion should be divided into 4 sections:• Small Intro: Definition of Perception, citations, sources.• Category 1: Organizational dynamics and positive safety practices -> no significant effect of gender or age on participants’ responses.• Category 2: Regulator’s Role -> no significant effect of gender or age on participants’ responses.• Category 3: Safety management, training and decision-making -> no significant effect of gender or age on participants’ responses. (Airline Employees Perceptions of Aviation Safety)
This study was conducted using a survey. The survey was composed of 26 different questions/variables. These questions were then grouped into 3 categories accordingly (presented above). What was found is that there was no significant effect of age or gender on the participants’ responses. Statistics were run (using SPSS) within each category, and no significant effect was found for any of them.
The majority of the participants did not have a true opinion of Aviation Safety and thus most of their answers were neutral (they checked “neither agree nor disagree” on the surveys for a majority of the questions.). Most likely because SMS is very recent in this airline and employees do not have extended knowledge about it.There were 117 participants.
I would like you to write the general discussion. I have provided you with a General Discussion sample; please follow the same format for this work. Use definitions. Sources must be from published and peer reviewed journals and articles (must be used accordingly in all sections of the discussion).
